AI Change Summary¶
Business and Enterprise workspaces can get a one-sentence, plain-language summary of what changed in a comparison, so you can often decide Approve/Dismiss from the Review Queue without opening the full comparison viewer.
Enabling it¶
AI summaries send a comparison's extracted text and metadata (not screenshots) to our AI provider (Anthropic). Before any summary generates for your workspace, a workspace owner or admin must accept a one-time disclosure. You'll see a prompt to enable AI summaries the first time anyone opens a comparison in an AI-entitled workspace; it only needs to be accepted once per workspace.
Owners and admins can review or change this setting under Workspace settings → AI features. Disabling AI stops new AI requests across the workspace. Existing generated summaries and answers remain available and AI can be enabled again later.
If your plan doesn't include AI summaries, the AI summary section simply doesn't appear — upgrade to Business or Enterprise to unlock it.
Using it¶
Open any completed comparison. Below the change signals, an "AI summary" section shows:
- Generating… the first time a given comparison is viewed (usually a few seconds).
- The summary sentence, once ready — cached from then on, so reopening the same comparison later is instant.
- Summary unavailable if generation fails or times out — this never blocks the rest of the comparison viewer, which keeps working normally either way.
Every completed comparison also shows a similarity badge (e.g. "94% similar") next to its change score, both in the comparison viewer and in Review Queue cards — this is available to every workspace regardless of AI access, since it's computed from the existing visual-difference signal, not the AI provider.
Usage limits¶
AI summaries count against a monthly cap on your plan (Business and Enterprise both include a generous allowance). Only comparisons a human actually opens are counted — nothing generates in the background, so a busy monitor never silently consumes your allowance.
